API & Agent Access

The directory is available to developers and AI agents through a public, read-only API and an MCP server. No authentication is required. Requests are rate limited to 60 per minute.

REST API

OpenAPI 3 specification: https://faa145stations.com/api/openapi.json

  • GET/api/stations

    Searches stations. Parameters: q (every word must match the name, DBA, city, state, country, certificate number, or address), state, country, page, and per_page (max 50).

  • GET/api/stations/{slug}

    Returns one station with its address, contact details, and FAA ratings.

MCP server

Streamable HTTP endpoint: https://faa145stations.com/mcp. Tools: search_stations and get_station.

Markdown pages

Any page on this site returns Markdown instead of HTML when requested with Accept: text/markdown.
